I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been a costume designer and theatre educator in New England for over ten years now! Originally hailing from New Jersey, I made the move to New England for my undergrad studies and never looked back. I earned my MFA in Costume Design from Boston University, where I was lucky enough to receive the Virgil C. Johnson Award for Excellence in Costume Design at graduation. I also have a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and spent many years as a professional performer.
I’ve had a blast designing for a variety of theatre companies, including The Ogunquit Playhouse, Maine State Music Theatre, The Public Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Greater Boston Stage Company, and Boston Playwrights' Theater, to name a few. I’ve even been nominated for two Broadway World Maine Awards for Best Professional Costume Design for my work at The Public Theatre and The Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine!
One of my proudest achievements was being a founding member of the CIC Theater Company in Boston, where I served as the Production Manager and Resident Costume Designer for five wonderful years, focusing on bringing theatre education to underserved youth in the area.
Now, in my role as a theatre professor at USM, I’m beyond excited to share my experiences and passion for theatre with my students and the vibrant Maine theatre community. I can’t wait to inspire and mentor the next generation of theatre designers!
